Simbu’s Poda Podi to deal with pre-marital sex?
Simbu and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar’s upcoming film Poda Podi would be marking the debut of the latter as heroine in Tamil films.
The film has been in the making for close to two years now thanks to Simbu’s wayward ways of involving himself in the film’s progress. Details of what the script might hold for the viewers and fans of Simbu have started trickling in. Sources close to the actor say that the script deals with issues like pre-marital sex, dating and the culture of ‘living together’ besides the indulgence in drugs by the youths.
Many films are being made in Americal and in most European countries deriding the ‘so-called’ culture of ‘living together’. Immigrant Indians, who live in large numbers in these countries, are anxious about the habit catching up with their wards. In Poda Podi, Simbu and Varalakshmi play the children born in such Indian families who go through many ordeals before seeing sense.
The movie is presently being shot at the Disneyland Theme Park in U.S. Director Vignesh Siva has been picturizing a song sequence on the Simbu-Varalakshmi coule and their children at this well-known tourist destination. Tweeting on his twitter page, Simbu has said that the film would not only be a milestone in his career but might turn out to be an unforgettable for Tamil films as a whole.
Varalakshmi plays a ballet dancer in the film which has some amazing musical scores by Tharan Kumar.
